We're seeking a skilled and motivated Customs Brokerage Entry Writer to play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of goods across borders. You'll be responsible for preparing and managing the necessary documentation to clear shipments through U.S. Customs, ensuring compliance with all regulations. Your Role in Facilitating Global Trade:
Prepare Customs Entries: Prepare accurate and timely customs entries for all shipments, ensuring compliance with U.S. Customs regulations.
Review and Verify: Review import documents for accuracy and compliance, identifying any potential issues.
Tariff Classification: Determine the correct Harmonized System (HS) tariff codes for imported goods.
OGA Management: Identify products subject to Other Government Agency (OGA) regulations and ensure compliance.
Customer Communication: Interface with customers regarding CBP, OGA delivery, and any irregularities.
Shipment Tracking: Track and trace shipments, coordinating with steamship lines, freight forwarders, and CFS on the availability of imported goods.
Transportation Coordination: Arrange for the pick-up and delivery of shipments with trucking companies.
Accounting: Handle accounting processes, including issuing invoices and approving freight bills.
What We're Looking For:
Bachelor's degree in Logistics or a related field (preferred).
Customs Broker License (preferred, but not required).
3-5 years of experience in a related field.
Knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations and Harmonized Tariff Codes.
Experience with CargoWise One software.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
Exceptional attention to detail.
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
