Lighthouse Lab Services is excited to represent a hospital near Gainesville, FL, seeking a Cytotechnologist to join their Anatomic Pathology Department. This Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM position offers a fantastic opportunity for an experienced cytology professional to work in a well-equipped laboratory with a collaborative team of pathologists and laboratory specialists.

Position Overview:

• Screen and interpret gynecologic (GYN) and non-gynecologic (non-GYN) cytology specimens, identifying cellular abnormalities.
• Assist with Fine Needle Aspiration (FNA) procedures, providing rapid on-site evaluation (ROSE) as needed.
• Ensure accurate documentation and timely reporting of results in compliance with laboratory protocols.
• Maintain quality control standards, troubleshooting and resolving discrepancies in cytology preparations.
• Assist in correlation studies and proficiency testing, ensuring adherence to CAP, CLIA, and regulatory guidelines.
• Collaborate with pathologists and laboratory staff to provide accurate and timely diagnoses.
• Utilize automated and manual cytology screening techniques, including liquid-based cytology and special stains.

Candidate Profile:

• ASCP Cytotechnologist (CT) certification required.
• Florida state license (or eligibility) required.
• Bachelor's degree in Cytotechnology, Medical Laboratory Science, or a related field.
• Experience screening GYN and non-GYN specimens, including FNA cytology.
• Strong knowledge of morphological criteria for cytologic diagnoses.
• Ability to work independently with excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficiency in laboratory information systems (LIS) and digital cytology platforms is a plus.

Salary/Benefits/Shift:

• $85k–$93k DOE
• Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM (No weekends or holidays!)
