LaSalle Network is partnering with a prestigious national law firm to identify a highly detail-oriented Fiduciary Accounting Assistant to support their Trust & Estates practice. Known for its commitment to excellence in legal services, this firm is expanding its fiduciary accounting team to ensure precise management of client trust and estate accounts.

This position is ideal for candidates with a strong foundation in accounting who are looking to specialize in trust and estate work. It's a contract-to-hire opportunity with long-term potential and is based in Milwaukee .

Fiduciary Accounting Assistant Responsibilities

• Manage financial transactions for trust and estate accounts, including distributions, deposits, wires, and checks

• Track and reconcile brokerage activity such as interest, dividends, and bond earnings

• Accurately assign funds to appropriate client or trust accounts

• Work closely with attorneys, CPAs, and legal staff to ensure smooth financial operations (minimal client interaction)

• Maintain confidentiality while working with sensitive family trust data

• Use Excel to perform detailed reconciliations, generate reports, and support accounting processes

• Provide day-to-day support to a small fiduciary accounting team serving Milwaukee-based attorneys

Fiduciary Accounting Assistant Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in accounting or a related financial role

• High level of attention to detail with excellent organizational skills

• Strong Excel skills, including working with formulas and data formatting

• Able to work independently and handle sensitive financial data discreetly

• Experience in trust or estate accounting is not required-training will be provided
