Job Summary (includes but is not limited to the following, other duties may be assigned)
This entry-level financial analyst is focused on providing operational support in processing requisitions, purchase orders, change orders, and receipts, as well as coordinating invoice reviews with stakeholders. Coordinate with directors, SCS and finance to ensure accurate payment, reporting, budgeting, and compliance with company policies. Collaborate with teams and stakeholders to analyze data, resolve issues, and support operational goals through effective communication and process management.
Job Responsibilities
Work closely with stakeholders, creating requisitions and purchase orders, reviewing for accuracy and compliance to company policy
Coordinate with stakeholders and vendors to resolve issues and discrepancies with quotes and requisitions
Manage invoice queue and coordinate with Directors to review and process receipts
Collaborate and communicate with Directors and vendors for revisions requiring change orders
Conduct weekly status updates on requisitions and change order progress
Develops and maintains job processes, procedures, and metrics
Perform other tasks as assigned
Routine and non-routine decisions have some latitude but are still subject to approval
With limited guidance, prioritizes and executes responsibilities effectively
Work periodically reviewed by others; work reflects solid performance of duties
Works on problems of limited scope.
Work typically consists of a variety of routine tasks, which provide experience and increased job knowledge.
Follows standard practices and procedures.
General instructions on routine work, detailed instructions on new assignments.
May coordinate efforts of others.
Basic communication - delivers information to individuals within defined parameters.
Fosters relationships with the Operations team and shows a willingness to learn about the Energy industry
Job Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Management or equivalent experience
Requires a minimum of 2 years' experience
Critical thinking, financial and data analysis skills with a high proficiency in MS Excel
Ability to work in a fast-pace environment with significant deadlines
Recognizes the importance of being a team player by adapting to changing project needs
Effective communication (both oral and written), organization and interpersonal skills
Experience working with Excel including Pivot Tables, and other key functions is preferred
Oracle Hyperion experience preferred but not required
PeopleSoft experience preferred but not required
Maximo experience preferred but not required
Some overtime required
