Title: Business Analyst

Location: West Prospect Ave, Cleveland, OH 44115 (On-site)

Duration: 6-Month Contract to Hire

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Business Analyst with strong expertise in Database Management, SQL, Data Analysis, and Process/Data Modelling . This role is a crucial part of the team, bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of software development lifecycles, data structures, and possess excellent analytical and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyse and document business processes, workflows, and data models to capture current and future system states.
• Collaborate with developers, analysts, and testers to ensure system changes align with business requirements.
• Develop functional and technical specifications for new or enhanced systems.
• Assist with system configurations and support testing efforts (UAT and QA).
• Evaluate third-party solutions and provide recommendations.
• Maintain system documentation (e.g., data dictionaries, process diagrams, training materials).
• Monitor system metrics (uptime, error rates, performance) and recommend improvements.
• Stay updated with industry trends to identify innovation opportunities.
• Support and coordinate end-user training as needed.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field OR minimum 7 years of relevant experience in business systems analysis or IT.
• 3+ years of proven experience in business analysis and software/system design.
• Strong understanding of software development methodologies (Agile/Waterfall).
• Proficient in SQL , data analysis , and database management .
• Experience with process modelling , workflow management , and documentation .
• Excellent interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities with the ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

• CBAP (Certified Business Analyst Professional) or CGEIT (Certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT).
• Experience with automation tools and business intelligence platforms.
• Knowledge of packaged software applications and web technologies.
