Position: MRI Technologist

Location: Midland, MI, 48670

Shift Type/Shift Times/Hours/Day: Nights, 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM, 12

Shift Notes: 6:30 P - 7 A (Saturday - Monday) (36 Hour Guarantee)

Weekend Requirements: Yes, every Sat & Sun

On-Call Requirements: No Call

COVID-19/FLU Requirement: na

Traveler Policy: Candidates' Permanent Address (Facility will not consider local candidates - 50-mile radius restriction)

Dress Code: Matching Scrubs of any color

Equipment: Siemens

The essential functions of this position include, but are not limited to, performing magnetic resonance imaging on patients utilizing highly technical equipment and administering contrast materials as required. Other functions may be assigned.

Responsibilities

• (25%)* Prepare the scan room and the patient for examination.
• (25%)* Draw up IV contrast if needed; administer oral contrast if indicated; perform a warm-up procedure on equipment; enter patient data and appropriate scan parameters; review patient data to ensure proper exam; review previous exams. Interview and screen patients for contraindications before having an MRI study; explain the procedure and answer patient questions.
• (25%)* Transport patient into the exam room, assist patient & position appropriately for the exam; determine if allergic to anything; inject appropriate IV contrast; perform a scan with attention to appropriate positioning; be alert for the need of additional or thinner slices/images. Utilize correct protocols, coils, restraints, and other materials when scanning.
• (15%)* Assure proper marking about the orientation of the patient; enter images with a keypad with attention to the order of the images.
• (10%)* Prepare records for the radiologist and ensure that all clinical information is complete; ensure that exam images are in the correct order; provide additional information as required.

Submission Requirements

• 2+ Years of Experience - Required
• ARRT & BLS (AHA) - Required
• Siemens Experience - Required

• Work History
• Skills Checklist, current to 1 year, pertinent to the specialty
• 2 Supervisory Reference Forms, taken within the last two years
• Licensure & Certifications (ARRT & BLS - AHA)
