Quality Engineer

THIS IS A 3 MONTH CONTRACT (DAY SHIFT and NIGHT SHIFT open)

LOCATION: Garland, TX

Position Overview

The Quality Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that manufacturing processes and products meet established quality standards. This role involves implementing quality control systems, conducting audits, and collaborating with various teams to improve product quality and safety in compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement quality control processes and procedures to ensure product quality and compliance with industry standards.
• Conduct regular audits and assessments of manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
• Utilize Six Sigma methodologies to analyze data and improve manufacturing processes.
• Maintain and ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and GMP regulations.
• Prepare and present reports on quality performance and improvement initiatives to management.
• Train manufacturing staff on quality standards and best practices.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience as a Quality Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of quality control procedures and methodologies, including Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing.
• Experience with audits and compliance with ISO 9001 and GMP standards.
• Certification from ASQ (American Society for Quality) is preferred.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
