Job Description

We're seeking a talented and experienced Sr. Data Engineer to join our team and play a key role in advancing health analytics and data sciences. This is a direct-hire, fully remote position where you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children.

What You'll Do:

Data Architect: You'll design and build reliable, large-scale data processing pipelines, foundational architectural components, reusable frameworks, and data models to support our Enterprise Data Warehouse, Feature Stores, and Machine Learning Platform.
Innovation Driver: You'll work closely with business stakeholders, data scientists, and leadership to develop a sustainable and optimized healthcare data architecture that meets current and future needs.
Platform Champion: You'll maintain and optimize our data platform and its systems, staying up-to-date with the latest technologies and internal requirements.
Data Guardian: You'll ensure the accuracy, integrity, and completeness of our data and workflows, maintaining the highest standards of data quality.
Data Expert: You'll manage and create data practices, databases, and information systems, as well as guidelines, dictionaries, registries, and services.
Agile Advocate: You'll work within a sprint methodology, focusing on delivering incremental business value and collaborating effectively with the team.
What You'll Bring:

Minimum 7 years of related experience in data engineering.
Experience with data lakes and modern data platforms (e.g., Databricks, AWS) is a must-have.
Strong experience with AWS in a large organization setting is required.
Solid understanding of data engineering best practices.
Experience with Machine Learning Engineering and Operations (ML Ops) is a plus.
Expertise in healthcare data architecture and data models is essential.
Experience with Python, Spark, and PySpark is highly desirable.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies is preferred.
