Recently, they've expanded into drilling and operating oil wells as part of an exciting development project in North Dakota. Position Overview Our client is seeking a Staff Accountant to join their accounting team in an early-to-mid career role. Reporting directly to the VP of Accounting, you will handle a range of accounting tasks and may take on full-cycle responsibilities for one or more of our oil and gas entities. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate with internal teams and external service providers in a dynamic and growing environment. Key Responsibilities Manage general ledger accounting (revenue, AP, checks, month-end close, reports) for one or more entities Process monthly joint interest billings (JIBs) Assist with monthly revenue distributions Administer WolfePak oil and gas software for development projects Report drilling project results to management Provide information to tax preparers and auditors Support treasury functions as needed Qualifications ~3+ years of accounting experience in the oil and gas sector ~ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (preferred) or related business field ~ WolfePak software experience (preferred) ~ Strong understanding of cash and accrual basis accounting ~ Detail-oriented, analytical, trustworthy, and dependable ~ Proficient with Microsoft 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) Why Join?
