Position Title: Registered Nurse PACU (Post-Anesthesia Care Unit), Traveler
Department: PACU / Recovery
Location: Athena Medtech

• Shift: Monday Friday, 07:00 AM 07:30 PM (12-hour shifts, 3 days/week)

• Total Weekly Hours: 36

Athena Medtech is seeking an experienced and highly skilled PACU Registered Nurse to join our perioperative team in a traveler capacity. The ideal candidate will have a background in ICU , as well as PACU experience in a Level 1 or Level 2 Trauma Center , including care for pediatric patients (PEDS) . This role requires quick critical thinking, strong collaboration skills, and the ability to provide high-quality post-anesthesia recovery care.

• Experience Required:

  • ICU experience

  • PACU experience in Trauma Level 1 or 2 facilities

  • Inpatient PACU and pediatric (PEDS) experience

• Certifications Required:

  • NIH Stroke Scale Certification

  • BLS and ACLS (if not already listed, consider adding these for completeness)

• Licensure: Active and unrestricted RN license, compliant with state and facility requirements

• Implement and manage individualized care plans for post-anesthesia patients

• Monitor, document, and communicate patient conditions and responses to interventions

• Serve as a liaison and coordinator among interdisciplinary team members to ensure cohesive patient care

• Execute physician and nursing orders accurately and efficiently

• Assess and coordinate patients' discharge planning needs in collaboration with healthcare team members

• Provide compassionate and effective care for both adult and pediatric recovery patients in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
