Position at Coastal Pacific Food Distributors

Coastal Pacific Food Distributors (CPFD) is currently seeking an Warehouse Manager in our Ontario, CA location. The position directs, through subordinate supervisors, all shipping, receiving, and inventory control activities on an assigned shift. Works closely with Logistics, Replenishment, and Receiving teams to coordinate warehousing and distribution functions. Monitors labor, equipment, and production costs associated with shipping function and makes improvements in operation to maximize efficiencies.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Annual salary range: $85,000 to 100,000

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Providing motivation and development in a team environment.
• Manage and maintain operations through KPI’s and other matrix reporting.
• Responsible for overall warehouse safety and efficiencies.
• Maintain/Control inventory levels and accuracy.
• Drive Asset Protection, Inventory Control and HR Initiatives.
• Interact and build relationships with associates, leadership, and customers.
• Accurately forecast labor needs based upon forecast volume.
• Build and develop a culture around the company values, driven by safety, quality, and productivity.
• Challenge team to identify and implement creative solutions to operational opportunities.
• Drive operations through SOP while encompassing the entrepreneurial spirit and allowing opportunity for innovations.
• Performs other related and incidental work as required in the completion of assigned tasks.

Job Requirements: 

Education: This position requires an associate degree or greater, in Business Operations, Supply Chain Management or other related field. In the absence of formal education, significant and directly related work experience may be substituted.

Experience: This position requires five plus years of related management experience with a proven track record in distribution center operations. Position must also have four or more years of experience in shipping, receiving, transportation and inventory functions in a conventional warehouse.

Knowledge: Position requires an in-depth knowledge of all warehouse equipment and processes, warehouse management systems, refrigerated and/or grocery warehouse, and union contracts would be beneficial. Position requires knowledge of personal computers and associated business software (MS-Word, Excel, and Access preferred).

Skills and Abilities: Position requires a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with all levels of management and staff. Good team building and facilitation skills, demonstrated by the performance of assigned teams, are required.
