Product Development Engineer – Paper Industry
Salary Up to $95,000 + Benefits + Paid Relocation to the Midwest USA
We are actively recruiting for a Product Development Engineer who has the technical expertise to support the development of new specialty paper products and improve the existing products.
You’ll be part of a cross-functional team and get a chance to work with talented product developers, sales, production operations, and interface with clients – sometimes on-site!
As the Product Development Engineer, your main focus will be to develop marketable new products by preparing prototypes, defining costs, product specifications, and coordinating manufacturing trials. You’ll also look at our existing products and provide technical expertise to troubleshoot issues with the product and its manufacturing process with an eye on cost reduction and quality improvement. You’ll identify opportunities by studying current trends, discoveries, and new technologies that could apply to our processes & products. Minimum requirements for this Product Development Engineer:
· Bachelor’s degree in paper science, chemical engineering, or similar technical discipline
· At least 5 years of experience in the paper industry product development process
· We will strongly consider directly relevant work experience for education
· Have knowledge of coating processes, materials, and applications
· Communicate well, both written and verbal, including customer interaction skills
· Experience with silicone release and other specialty paper coatings would be a plus.
